The Roller Derby World Cup is an international women's roller derby tournament organized by Blood & Thunder magazine. Teams of amateur skaters from around the world are fielded to compete for their respective nations. The inaugural 2011 event is being hosted by Toronto Roller Derby, and is being held December 2 through 4, at The Bunker at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.The 2011 Roller Derby World Cup is scheduled to have thirteen countries taking part. Each team will send a roster of 20 skaters, plus alternates, to take part. Teams have been holding tryouts during 2011 and have started naming the rosters in mid-summer.
