Rodrigo Fernandez Bustamante, better known as Rodrigo Fernandez (born on October 28, 1993, in Mexico, D.F.) is a Mexican football (soccer) midfielder currently playing for Cruz Azul U-17. Rodrigo Fernandez began his career with the Cruz Azul Reserves playing for the U-17 team for the 2010-11 Apertura. He played in 19 matches scoring 2 goals. On December 4, 2010, Fernandez was offered the opportunity to be observed at Fulham F.C. with an opportunity to sign a one year loan with the club. He returned to Mexico on December 24, after his try-out where it is said that Fulham F.C. and Cruz Azul will be working out the details of a possible loan.
